Corporate Social Responsibility

Overview

Esri takes social responsibility as an integral part of its business. The Company's enduring slogan 'GIS: Understanding Our World', and its actions over the years demonstrate this.

We, at Esri China (HK), also inherit this excellent corporate culture in caring our local community with the spirit of 'To give is more blessing than to receive'. We think that it is equally important to be a good corporate citizen as a good industry player.

We fulfill our social responsibility by focusing on specific societal issues, including community economic development, education, environment and employee well-being.

Environment

Esri China (HK) is committed to environmental leadership in our business activities. Not only we are vigilant in protecting the environment across our operations, we took the initiative to have participated in and serve as technology partner for local environmental protection campaigns.

We are the technology partner of the Tree Print Campaign, a voluntary initiative to rally communitywide effort to conserve the environment and preserve our urban trees.  Members of the community can freely upload photos of trees of interest they took and share their assessment on Tree Print Website via the “Treeprint 2.0” iPhone app and a crowd of supporters - to establish a repository of trees in Hong Kong.

Good practice to manage our waste materials and retired equipment is a part of our business operation standard. We support re-cycling effort and have donated over 100 pieces of retired computers, parts and accessories including servers, computers, monitors, projectors and hard drives to Caritas-HK Computer Workshop since 2009.
